‘Indy 4’ Ends New Haven Shoot

July 9, 2007

indy4-newhaven.gifIndiana Jones 4 seems to be moving steadily along with it’s shooting and just finished in New Haven this past week. For the movie, the town was given a face-lift in a lot of places to give the appearance of 1957 New Haven/Yale. Coming Soon has got a bunch of photos that someone took while the production was in town. The shots are mostly of some of the vintage automobiles used in the movie, but you can check them out here if you’re interested.

Besides New Haven, the production also did some shooting in Essex, CT at the Essex Steam Train. This shoot was only a one day thing, but there are some nice pictures of the train station’s new look here. One fan got to watch the shooting for that day and wrote about his experience. Apparently, the train station scene will end up playing a larger part than we might think:

Pics Of Will Smith On ‘John Hancock’ Set

July 8, 2007

will-smith-john-hancock.gifEven though we’re still waiting for the release of I Am Legend, Will Smith is already in the process of working on his next film, John Hancock ( previously titled Tonight, He Comes).  The movie is about a superhero who falls out of public favor and ends up turning into an alcoholic.  A PR guy (Jason Bateman), that Smith’s character once helped, decides to try and help him rebuild his public image.  Things get messy when Smith hooks up with Bateman’s wife, Charlize Theron.  Sounds like an interesting premise to me.  The film is directed by Peter Berg.

Anyway, my point was to show you all some photos of Smith on the set of the film.  Head on over to JustJared if you want to check them out.  In the pics, Smith looks a bit goofy as a booze-hound , but I’d imagine that is the point.  They’ve got him on some wires so they can simulate flying later, at least thats my guess.  Anyway, it gives you an early look at his character at least, but this one won’t be in theaters until July 2, 2008.

New ‘RE: Extinction’ Photos

July 3, 2007

jovovich.gifResident Evil is another movie franchise I haven’t bothered to even look at.  My friends all like it, and I trust them, I just haven’t found the time or the will to take a look.  Anyway, I’m sure there are plenty of fans out there waiting for the 3rd installment Resident Evil: Extinction which is due to come out September 21.  It supposedly picks up right where the last one left off and has Alice (Milla Jovovich) off in the Nevada desert somewhere.  It’s written by the same guy who wrote the other two, Paul W.S. Anderson, and is being helmed by Russell Mulcahy.

Thats about all I know about this one, but blackfilm has some new production photos that might tide you over until I find out some more about it.  Oh and if you haven’t seen the teaser trailer yet, it’s worth a look, too.

Harrison And Shia Together On The Set Of ‘Indy 4’

June 30, 2007

harrisonshia.gifSeems someone managed to sneak a camera past the production crew on the set of Indy 4 and snagged some pictures of Harrison Ford and Shia LaBeouf together for the first time.  If you’re interested, Just Jared has about six pictures of the duo together.  The pictures are kind of humorous.  I think the intent is to make Ford look outdated and uncool when he meets his son, played by Shia.  And giving validity to the rumors about the kind of Shia would be, he is all decked out in his ‘greaser’ attire.

Still too earlier to tell whether this is going to shape up to good or not.  One can only hope

New Haven Changes For ‘Indy 4’

June 27, 2007

newhaven-thumbnail.gifI don’t know if I’ve reported it or not, but the city of New Haven, Connecticut is gearing up to have some scenes from Indiana Jones 4 filmed there. The production asked many of the shops in downtown New Haven to change their outward appearance to give the vibe of the 1957 setting of the film. Someone in the area took the liberty of snapping some photos of these shops and you can take a look at them on the Unofficial Indiana Jones Blog.

Also, if you’re wanting some spoilers on what is going to be filmed in New Haven you can check out this article from the New York Observer.

Photos And News For ‘The Darjeeling Limited’

June 25, 2007

brody-darjeeling.gifI’m really excited to check out Wes Anderson’s The Darjeeling Limited.  I think Anderson is a brilliant director and I’ve very much enjoyed his work.  The plot basically revolves around three brothers, played by Adrien Brody, Owen Wilson and Jason Schwartzman, traveling to India after the death of their father.

Slashfilm has is hosting some first look pictures from the film and give a little more insight from Anderson as to what the story entails.  This film hits theaters in limited release this December.

June 25, 2007

tdk-hiresthumb.gifGot word of this from over at  Seems  has been doing some undercover work on the set of The Dark Knight and has compiled some of his findings into a short video clip.  You get to check out some Gotham taxi’s, police cars, and also there is a short clip of the Tumbler (Batmobile) busting through a wall.
