Pixar Preview In Latest Time Magazine

pixar logoI’ve been a fan of Pixar for a long time. They have made some major headway in the cg animation department over the years and usually churn out good films. Their most recent work, Ratatouille, will be in theaters June 29 and I can’t wait. It’s about a rat that wants to be a chef. Well, that is a simplistic summary. Looks to be good. It seems they already have three other films in the works, too.

I found out, via Cinematical, that in the latest Time Magazine there is talk about these new projects, but if you don’t want to wait, Dark Horizon’s has the scoop over on their site.

The first is Wall*e.  It’s set in 2700 and it’s described as “a space-set remake of a 1931 Charlie Chaplin film about a blind girl wooed by a tramp she mistakenly believes is a rich man.”  Also, the main characters aren’t humans they are robots.

Next is Up, a “‘coming-of-old-age’ story which follows an elderly man befriends a clueless young Wilderness Ranger and gets into lots of globe-hopping, ass-kicking adventures with villains and beasts whilst still eating dinner in the early afternoon.”  Sounds interesting.

And finally there is Toy Story 3, which is still being written so there’s not really synopsis.
